Persian Gabbeh Kashkuri approx. 62cm x 94cm

This is a hand-woven Persian gabbeh from region of Iran. It is a fine quality gabbeh. made from the finest wool and with a dense and fine weave.

The base color is a gradation of gray. made from undyed natural wool. Looking out the large window. you can see a blue sky reminiscent of the dawn. a pointillist-like large mountain. and a yellow sun peeking out from the side.

In the center is a large tree with green leaves and red fruit. and it is surrounded by flowers. plants. and deer.

The deer represent family harmony as they raise their young close to each other. and the Tree of Life represents wishes for longevity and good health for family members as it reaches up into the sky.
