Hand-woven carpet from Lahore. Punjab. Pakistan. Produced by the Kafkazian atelier. (The atelier’s signature is woven in the upper left corner.)
The carpets from the Kavkazian workshop are characterized by their glossy and beautiful shine.
The base color is a subtle mix of beige and pink. with three flowers woven in the center.
The white parts are woven with silk to give the pattern a three-dimensional look.
Hand-woven carpets have a direction in which the pile flows. called with the grain and against the grain. and the way the color appears will change depending on the direction in which it is laid. so please take a look and compare photos 2 and 3.
