This is a hand-woven carpet made in Lahore. Punjab. Pakistan.

The base color is white. giving it a refreshing impression.

This carpet is densely woven with geometric patterns unique to Pakistani carpets. making it look as if you are looking through a kaleidoscope. The oval pattern lined up in the center is called the Bohara pattern and is said to have been modeled after the footprints of an elephant.

Weaving methods vary depending on the region and material. but the main feature of hand-woven carpets is the technique of tying the weft threads to the warp threads.
This carpet has 12 warp threads and 24 weft threads per square inch. and is one of the highest quality carpets among the three ranks of Pakistani carpets. The dense weave makes the pile short and dense. with a fine and beautiful pattern.
