This is a beautiful design featuring geometric patterns that are unique to Pakistani carpets.
The diamond pattern lined up in the center is called the Jaldar pattern and is said to be modeled after a dragon’s mouth.

Weaving methods vary depending on the region and material. but the main feature of hand-woven carpets is the technique of tying the weft threads to the warp threads.

This carpet has 12 warp threads and 24 weft threads per square inch. and is one of the highest quality carpets among the three major grades of Pakistani carpets.

Because of the tight weave. the pile is short and dense to the touch. and beautiful. intricate patterns are woven into it.
