This Persian Gabbeh was made in . and is of Kashkri quality.

This Gabbeh is made from the finest wool. which is finer than regular Gabbehs. and is intricately woven.

The base colour used is undyed natural wool (raw wool). giving the wool its natural. soft texture.

The design features a lion that stands out powerfully amongst its fluffy fur. but upon closer inspection. its eyes are quite adorable.

The design of the sword held by this lion and the sun in the background was also used in the Persian flag until the Islamic Revolution in 1979.

The typical method of making hand-woven carpets is to stretch the warp threads tightly and then tie the weft threads on top of them.
