This carpet is hand-woven in . Punjab. Pakistan. The base color is a beige mixed with brown. and the geometric patterns characteristic of Pakistani carpets are beautifully designed.
The oval pattern lined up in the center is called the Bohara pattern and is said to have been modeled after elephant footprints.
Hand-woven carpets have a different direction of the pile. called with the grain and against the grain. and the color tone changes depending on the direction in which the carpet is laid. You can see the color change by comparing the third and fourth photos.
